I got my foundation license in September 2010, all because my son (11) saw someone operating at a Tandem Club camping rally and decided he need to become a radio ham.  CARC, who ran the course recommended that someone adult also knew what to do so I did the course and got hooked!

Now I have passed the intermediate level exam, but still working QRP, with 5W from FT817 or 1W from Softrock RxTx SDR.  Antenna is a Windum for 80/40/20 but seems to have problems with 40m band at the moment.

Hope to hear you on the badns,

Dave
