I've been born in 1959 in Rome, Italy, and I'm radio amateur since 1974. Licensed SWL (I0-65782) on July 1st - 1976, on July 2nd, 1976,  I receive my first Ham Radio permission and get my first call sign I0IOJ on Aug. 10th, 1977 .

On Aug. 19th 1990 I get my German call sign DJ0KZ, that I definitely leave when I go back to Italy, where on Jan 15th, 1999 I obtain the new call sign I2IOJ.

Since then I operate from Seriate, in the province of Bergamo.

I mainly listen to Shortwaves, take part to few local HF contests, and some local VHF/UHF contests.

I love CW and I practice digital modes. I occasionally hunt for DX-peditions, and don't care too much on awards. I like to visit ham fairs and to meet my colleagues radio hams.

I'm married with Eda, and my children are Valerio and Eda.

I'm a professional Marketing and Sales Manager and I work in the field of Medical X-ray Imaging.
