Originally from Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, I was first licensed in 1958 as a Novice. My previous calls were KN9QYC, K9QYC, W0HZH and W9NP. My most recent, and probably my last call, is K9IA.

I am now living in The Villages. FL. The Villages is a "deed restricted" community located in North Central Florida. My antenna is a 20ft flag pole with 30 radials and a tuner at the base.

My country count is 291 worked and 289 confirmed. A considerable number of them worked with my "stealth" setup here in FL. Certificates include USACA#1068, DXCC, WAS, and WPX. Prefered mode is CW and I spend most of my time chasing DX. Most of the time I can be found on 20 or 17 meters CW looking for that next new one.

My wife (W9XYL) and I have transmitted from over 1000 USA counties and W9XYL also holds USACA#1067 and a DXCC certificate.
