I was first licensed as a no-code tech in the US in 1993 KE4CRN; moved to the US Naval Base at Guantanamo Bay Cuba as KG4AU in 1996, upgraded to Extra Class as AE4WH then WV3N in 1996~1997 time frame, moved to Canada in the spring of 2000 and licensed as VE3WVA (Basic/Advanced w/morse code).
Antennas consist of a 600' horizontal loop @ 35', a windom at 50', an Ameritron ALS-600 coupled with an MFJ IntelliTuner MFJ-998.
Lately, favorite modes have been FT-8, RTTY and SSB of course. I need to work on my CW. Back in the 1990s while aboard GTMO I managed to pass a 20 WPM test, but if you don't use it, you do indeed LOSE it!
73 es TNX for looking!
