My journey to amateur radio started when i was in class 7th (1984), I was introduced to Elektor an electronic magazine by a  school friend (who i again met him after 25 years and made him a ham, long story HI!) there was an article in the magazine on Ham Radio and eventually the fascination started.

Long story cut short, finished my high school got enrolled with  JNA Wireless Association a local Amateur Radio Club and my alma mater for Ham Radio but could not continue and rejoin after my graduation, got Grade II in May 1993 and Grade I in 1994, Licensed in Jan 1996 (Yes whooping 2.5 years of waiting).

Was part of Disaster Communication Team of Mumbai Amateur Radio Society (MARS) , relayed Emeregency Traffic during BHUJ earthquake in 2001 (Full Report & Pic)


My Original QTH  : Mumbai , Current QTH : Vasai 70 kms ,Northen Suburbs of Mumbai 

Got my first radio a dual bander Kenwood TH 79A in 1998 

First HF Icom IC 718 in 2004

My current working condition

I am currently QRV on HF ( 40 m , 20m , 15m & 10m) both on SSB & Digital with ICOM 706 MK II G putting out 100W in Diamond vertical CP-6 Antenna , also active on 2M and UHF with Diamond X-50A
