2009 is the year of “Homecoming” in Scotland. It is a year long celebration aimed at attracting the Scottish Diaspora as well as those interested in Scottish traditions to Scotland. Numerous events have been and continue to be held throughout Scotland this year.
We thought that Amateur Radio in Scotland should play a part in Homecoming and are very pleased to announce that regulators Ofcom have agreed to special prefixes to be used by Radio Amateurs in Scotland until 30th November 2009.
The prefixes will be GA, MA and 2A . The A replacing the M in your prefix (A to represent Alba the Gaelic name for Scotland).
