My Name is Demetris Themistocleous but on HF you may call me Jim for short .

I got my Licence in October 2015. 

I have a technical background as i studied electronical enginering in Thessaloniki Greece.

i`m currently working in an IT Company. 

I started radio Amateur in the look of a new hobby.  

Since it has so many aspects , it is not a hobby i will give up easily . I am very anxius to try as many of them as i can. 

local chats on VHF/ long distance DX on HF/ sattelite communications /satellite Weather info downlinks / Homebrewing especially antennas /data packet communications etc etc etc 

so much to play with and so much to learn.  

I like nature , cycling, hiking etc so I plan on doing a lot of portable operations . My equipments first criteria is portability . I want everything to fit in a backpack for emergencies.
