I Took my exam just as the M series of UK call signs came in to line.  I passed then waited another 3 months for the call M1BMW, however,  I don't drive one, I drive an Alfa Romeo 159 2.4 jtdm TI, I also own a 5 cylinder, 20V Audi Quattro urS6 -- A future restoration project when I retire.

I am an Ex CB radio operator from the good old day's in the late 70's.  As soon as HF became legal for me to use, with the M1 callsign and without the horrid Morse test, I quickly bought a HF set and am currently giving it as much hammer as I can mostly on Digital modes, FT8, JT65, PSK31

I also operate digital modes on 6m, 2m & 70cm

Radios: Yaesu FTdx3000 with the MFJ-993B ATU for HF work and a Yaesu FT991A for Digi and rag chewing VHF and UHF work.

Antenna: CWA1000 FAN Dipole 80M in an inverted 'V' form with it 15M high at the center, 2.5M at either end. It loads up on top band and 60M as well with the ATU.

I also have an Comet GP9 up at 15m to the tip for VHF & UHF TX and broadband RX purposes.

Hobbies: Lasers and more lasers!!!  DIY Gas Turbines,  Traction Kite flying, Kite Parakarting, Electronics & Amateur Radio, Radio Control models and DRONES!!!
