Hello ! Thank you for your visit.

I got my callsign registered in 2014 and started to build up my shack slowly cheeky Because i live in an urban area, big antenna's are a bit of a problem. At the moment i'm using an end fed multiband wire for HF (my license allows me to utilize parts of the 10/20/40 bands) and a groundplane stick for VHF/UHF.

My tranceiver is the good old 'shack in a box', the FT897-D . As i got a regular noise level above S6 i modded my tranceiver with the NEDSP1061-KBD filter, a HUGE improvement in readability.

In 2015 i got everything running to start experimenting with voice and digi modes. For the digital modes, i use an homebrew interface to my laptop. Every now and then I post text updates, video's and images related to my radio hobby on my website www.pd1wes.nl

My logs are automaticly uploaded to HRDlog.net and i try to have them regularly pushed into the logs here on QRZ
As i'm not (yet) a member of any bureau, please use my eQSL for the moment being.
