Current HF setup: Yaesu FT-991a, Shure 552 Microphone, Alpha Delta DX-CC antenna aproximately 45 feet up strung between two trees fed with 100ft of LMR-400 coax.

My name is Michael Webb and I served in the USAF from 2001 to 2021. I am the proud father of two wonderful children and I am enjoying this journey of life with my lovely wife.

I grew up in both Southeast Missouri and Northwest Arkansas.

While serving, I've was stationed at Moody AFB GA, Kadena AB Okinawa Japan, Mildenhall AB United Kingdom, and finally Travis AFB CA, and recently moved back to Northwest Arkanasas in Tontitown. I was an avionics troop by trade, more specifically Guidance and Control (GAC). I've worked on HH-60G helicopters, C-130 cargo planes, KC-135 and KC-10 tankers. Now I'm a Field Service Technician, traveling all over the region repairing broken equipment.

I have many hobbies including collecting vinyl records, coins (sparingly), and video games. I currently have my Ground Radiotelephone Operator License with ship radar endorsement, my GMRS License, and of course my Tech ticket in amateur radio, upgraded to General officially on 25 October 2022. My originally issued call sign was KN6DUI but I applied for and received my vanity license on 4 September 2019.

An interesting project that the president of the VVRC club, Kevin N6VLF, and I have completed is two Allstar Link nodes w/EchoLink. My node number is 51010 and the club's is 51094. They are both on full time to the W6VVR repeater in Vacaville California. Echolink is WG5EEK-L and W6VVR respectively. Also available is DMR via Brandmeister at 3149964 and YSF Reflector WG5EEK Room 24033. Please tune in and have a QSO with us!

I have several Allstar nodes setup, two in the main shack for VHF and UHF using a Motorlla Maxtrac 300 and a Motorolla SM-50, both using RIM-Lite USB audio FOBs that are running from a Raspberry Pi 3.

Also in my garage I have a GMRS Repeater, and another VHF Allstar with DVSwitch Node running on a Dell Wyze Thinclient PC, again with a RIM-Lite USB Audio FOB.

And more recently, we completed a GMRS repeater by linking two Kenwood TK-860 mobile units together which is currently listed as Tontitown 650 on mygmrs.com.

All of these radios, except my Yaesu FT-991a, are running off of modified HP Server power supplies. They are switching power supplies but since they output around 70amps it's hard to beat for the price.

I'm also a co-host on the 2 Meter Crew Anti-net, which streams weekly on Wednesdays 10PM Central time on the YouTube channel Northwest Ham Shack. For more info, go to 2 Meter Crew.
