 *** About Me ***

I live in the Netherlands, in the Stadspolders neighborhood of Dordrecht to be precise. For those who would like to know more about the area, you can find extensive information at https://www.stadspolders.eu/. Please note: this website is only available in Dutch!

*** History ***
In the early '90s, I bought a simple CB radio. I started with a Dirland Europa 1, then a Midland Alan 58e, followed by the Midland Alan 48+ and 78+.

In 1995, I decided to purchase a scanner with a wide frequency range. It was the Yupiteru MVT-7100, which eventually led to me listening to HF conversations as well.

*** Listening Activities ***
I listen on almost every band, including:

70cm, 2m, 10m, 12m, 15m, 20m, 30m, 40m, 60m, 80m

Depending on my mood, I sometime listen to Phone. When I do, I don't keep a logbook. Generally, my interest lies in receiving digital modes such as FT4, FT8, and WSPR. Given the equipment I use, it is quite remarkable to see that the reception with an RTL-SDR and a Youloop is definitely not disappointing.

*** Hardware ***
- MiniPC N5105 (32G RAM) w RTL-SDR v3 (VHF/UHF) and RTL-SDR v4 (HF/VHF)
- ATS-20+ Plus v2
- Yupiteru MVT 7100 (Scanner)

*** Portable tranceivers (TX on HAMbands disabled) ***

- Radtel RT-490 (RX-Only) (VHF/UHF)
- Commtel Com 3000 (RX/TX 27MHz / CB Radio (FM))

*** Antenna's ***

- Youloop (HF)
- +Some telescopic and other sorts of antennas

*** Software ***
