I grew up in Bern (JN36rw) and got my license in 1976.
During my studies in electrical engineering and computer science, I pursued the hobby intensively but put it on hold after entering the professional world.
Now that I am retired and live on Lake Zug (JN47fc) in Switzerland, I have the time and leisure to get back into the hobby.
Please note that I do not send paper QSLs anymore due to saving some trees at least.
At the moment, I am concentrating on digital modes, on all brands.
