Got licenesed in 1977 as WD9EQC as a 5 wpm novice. then upgraded to tech in a few months. Then upgraded to 13 wpm General in a few months. Then upgraded to Advance after about a year. All at FCC field office's every 3 months. After a change in the rules took place I applied for my SK Grandfaters old call K9BAW. I lived in Southern indiana for almost 55 years and then moved to Florida in 2008. I had taken about a 20 year vacation from the hobby till last year and decide to jump back in with both feet and bought the ICOM 7300 and discovered FT8 .. enough for now 73 Tim
