When working my station on FT8 FT4 DO NOT transmit on my frequency I am transmitting on. Please hold your frequency. ARE YOU CALLING ME ON FT8 AND NOT GETTING A RESPONSE? IT'S PROBABLY BECAUSE I AM CALLING DX OR WAS CALLING SOMEONE ELSE. IF YOU ARE ON THIS CONTINENT, YOU ARE NOT DX ! (Even on six meters.)
I MAINLY USE QRZ for QSL's.
I upload to QRZ, LOTW, HRD, EQSL, Club Log, and a few others when logged.
I use MLDX software to log. If you have an email listed on QRZ, I can send an email digital QSL card. No return card is required. I try to send back QSL cards when I receive them, but the cost limits how often I send them back.
I got my Ham Radio ticket in Sept 2019. I got a Technician and General license on the same day. I am a NON-MORSE Ham, but I am learning morse code very slowly, only to get the triple play award once I retire.
My wife and I are team truck drivers. When we are on the road, I do not log contacts.
I run REMOTE operations while I am on the road. I use RemoteTX software through my cell phone and a Raspberry PI into my IC-7300 to still operate while driving the semi. The new SEMI is not RF-friendly with all the computers and modules they have. You can find the remote software I use at https://www.remotetx.net/. They have the full setup there for around 85 dollars. It is subscription-based software.
